Janna Hagarty, RN. VP: I graduated from YVC in 1973 and thus began my professional career as a Registered Nurse. My areas of nursing included hospital nursing, physician offices, school nursing, lab instructor for the CMA program at YVC, and completed my career in September 2024 at Fort Simcoe Job Corp in the medical clinic. All totaled, I completed 51 years and enjoyed every minute! I have been a part of WSNA since 1975, starting at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Yakima, and have been involved in some capacity since that time. Kay Greenwood, RN, BSN. Treasurer: After graduating in 1981, I have worked continuously as a bedside staff nurse first at Evergreen Healthcare in Kirkland, and now Kittitas Healthcare in Ellensburg. I believe nurses need to not only advocate for our patients, but for other nurses. This is why I volunteer for CWRNA: so I can work towards assisting RN’s get their CE’s and nursing students get scholarship money. Jacob Garcia, MBA, MSN, RN, PCCN. Secretary: I am an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Heritage University and a dedicated advocate for health equity, workforce equity, and community-centered care. Drawing on a clinical background in acute care and informatics, I aim to shape future nurses while championing nursing’s voice in state and national health policy. Lori Bethay, RN. At-Large Board member: After becoming an RN in 1996, I worked for 20 years at a hospital in Yakima in the open heart surgery recovery and ICU as both a staff nurse and charge nurse. During this time I also volunteered within my community. After becoming disabled in 2021 I continued to volunteer in addiction recovery and grief after overdoses. Christina Nyirati, PhD, MSN, RN. At-Large Board member. After founding the Family NP program at The Ohio State University, I moved to Central Washington and became the founding Director of the BSN program at
